In today’s media dominated world, prospective parents often fear labor and birth. How can families today discriminate between myths, cultural fears and well documented fact?

In this free one hour session you will have the opportunity to hear about:
• Evidence based care
• The Mother-Baby Friendly Childbirth Initiatives
• Different popular childbirth education philosophies and methods
• Doula care and how a doula can support you during your labor and birth, and in the early days postpartum
• Differences in clinical practices and approaches to birth
• Find out how to be an active participant in your prenatal care
• How to find reliable family centered care and resources in Bergen County

You will also receive a list of books that supports evidenced based care practices for your prenatal period and birth, as well as helpful websites on pregnancy, birth and the newborn’s first year

The birth of your baby will be one of the most important days and events of your life, a day you will always remember. Make healthy and wise choices based on knowledge and not fear!
